Christine Eftink
ORAN - Christine J. Eftink, 87, died at 7:20 p.m. Jan. 25, 2004, at her home.
Born June 18, 1916, in Bollinger County, daughter of the late Emanuel and Drieka Spooler Nance, she was a retired sewing machine operator for the International Hat Factory in Oran. She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and St. Ann Sodality in Oran.
On July 24, 1934, she married William G. Eftink who preceded her in death on May 1, 1986.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Eugene "Dutch" Eftink; and two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include: two sons, Clyde Eftink of Oran and Bill Eftink of Prole, Iowa; two daughters, Irene Hotop of St. Louis and Rosemary Lane of Jefferson City; and 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran where parish prayers at 6:30 p.m. will be followed by Knights of Columbus prayers at 6:45 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. John Harth officiating.
Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Scott Eftink, Rick Eftink, Terry Eftink, Ed Hotop, Roger Hotop, Joe Lane and Eric M. Spies.
