PORTAGEVILLE - Eavie L. Reid, 89, died Feb. 10, 2004, at the Portageville Nursing Center.
Born March 1, 1914, at Sherman, Miss., she was the daughter of the late George W. and Nora Florence Tidwell Smith.
On Jan. 26, 1962, at Portageville, she married Mack Reid who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, George Champion and Ben Champion.
Survivors include: one daughter, Geneva DeRousse of Rayard; one stepdaughter, Carolyn Loyd of Flint, Mich.; two stepsons, Robert M. Reid and Gene Dale Reid of Flint; one daughter-in-law, Irene Champion of Portageville; and 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
