SIKESTON - Audrey Mae Mays, 89, died at 4:15 p.m. Feb. 11, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born March 26, 1914, in Matthews, daughter of the late James J. and Tora Russell Baker, she was of the Baptist belief. She worked for the Sikeston Laundry and Dry Cleaners for 12 years and was a cook at Missouri Delta Medical Center for eight years before retiring.

On Nov. 21, 1936, in Matthews, she married Edward Woodrow Mays who preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1973.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Pat Mays of Sikeston; two grandchildren, James A. Mays of Cape Girardeau and Sandra Berry of Sikeston; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler Brashear and Drew Berry of Sikeston and Kelsey Mays of Cape Girardeau.

Two brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Mike Cartwright, pastor of the Canalou Assembly of God Church, will officiate at services.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
