Cory Kelso

SIKESTON - Cory Lee Kelso, 30, died Aug. 17, 2004, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Born April 7, 1974, in Sikeston, he was the son of Betty Plunk Kelso of Sikeston and Tommy Dale Kelso, who preceded him in death in August 1997.

Survivors in addition to his mother include: his paternal grandmother, Ruby Kelso of Sikeston; and aunts and uncles, Gerald and Sue Plunk, Charles and Gail Lawrence, Ron and Pat Cook, Tevis and Carolyn Noles and Vicky Bivens of Sikeston, Charlie Plunk of Matthews and Steve and Bobbie Jo Hadder of Oran.

He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Elzie Lee Kelso; and maternal grandparents, Claude and Alpha Burney Plunk.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Jerry Adams, pastor of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be his cousins: Scott Plunk of Matthews, Trey Noles of Dexter, Wade Lawrence of Springfield, Nicki Stokes of New Madrid; Missy Barber, Mike Cook and Steve Plunk of Sikeston and Stephanie Hurley of Jacksonville, Fla.
