SIKESTON - Department of Public Safety officials are concerned stolen lethal chemicals may be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. According to the DPS, officers responded at approximately 7:41 a.m. today to a report of a burglary at Terminix at 834 Linn. Terminix employees and DPS officers arriving on the scene discovered pesticides were missing including a two-pound can of phosmume pellets and seven three-pound cans of phosfume tablets...

SIKESTON - Department of Public Safety officials are concerned stolen lethal chemicals may be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

According to the DPS, officers responded at approximately 7:41 a.m. today to a report of a burglary at Terminix at 834 Linn. Terminix employees and DPS officers arriving on the scene discovered pesticides were missing including a two-pound can of phosmume pellets and seven three-pound cans of phosfume tablets.

DPS officials advise the pellets and tablets are a deadly poison and have no known uses except for pesticide.

Anyone coming in contact with these products are urged by officials to use caution and notify the police immediately.

DPS officials also encourage anyone with information about this incident or any other crimes to call 471-6200 or 471-1500 with all communications being confidential.
