Kathleen Jackson

ORAN - Kathleen Jackson, 87, died at 3:55 a.m. Aug. 30, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 7, 1917, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Chris and Lizzie Bishop Hollingsworth, she was a member of Trinity Methodist Church and the Sunshine Methodist Club in Oran.

On Juy 21, 1937, she married Verlin Jackson who preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1990.

Survivors include: two daughters, Verleen Pobst of Oran and Judy Newman of Ohatchee, Ala.; two brothers, Leniel Hollingsworth of Arvada, Colo., and Ed Hollingsworth of Seward, Alaska; one sister, Billie Nichols of Russellville, Ark.; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Methodist Church with the Rev. Jack Martin officiating.

Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
