J.P. Montgomery
GRAPEVINE, Texas - J.P. Montgomery, 89, died July 6, 2003, at Baylor Hospital of Grapevine.
Born April 23, 1914, in Wiseman, Ark., son of the late Ulysses Palmer and Frances Myrtle Pinkston Montgomery, he owned and operated Montgomery Motor Co. in Chaffee, Mo. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee where he served as a deacon.
On Nov. 18, 1935, he married Kathryn Bowden who preceded him in death on April 1, 2000.
He was also preceded in death by one son, John Montgomery; and four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include: one sister, Movidene Cutler of Chaffee; three grandchildren, Jeff Montgomery of McKinney, Debra Chatterton of Plano and Marty Montgomery of Keller; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Chaffee. The Rev. Gerald Collier and the Rev. Cliff Day will officiate.
Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Mo.
