Sikeston DPS seeks assistance with city cemeteries complaints
SIKESTON -- The Sikeston Department of Public Safety is seeking public assistance in the investigation of possible criminal conduct within cemeteries in and around Sikeston.
DPS Director Drew Juden said over the past several weeks numerous complaints have been received by the city of Sikeston and the Sikeston City Council concerning the care and appearance of the Memorial Park and Garden of Memories cemeteries. Both are owned by Michael Graham Jr. and Associates of Houston.
"We are asking anyone in Sikeston who has done business with Michael Graham and Associates to please contact our department and bring forth the documentation that you feel you have been taken advantage of or defrauded," Juden said in a release.
Those who cannot make arrangements to come to the facility should contact DPS at 471-4711, and an officer will be sent to their location to take the information.
The department also is working with the Consumer Fraud Division of the attorney general's office to resolve the complaints. Anyone who has a complaint about the cemeteries should call (800) 392-8222.
