Thomas Vollmer

DEXTER - Thomas Vollmer, 57, died July 2, 2003, at the John J. Pershing Veterans Medical Center at Poplar Bluff.

Born June 22, 1946, at St. Louis to Eileen Tumbleson of Essex and the late William Tumbleson, he was a self-employed painter and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War.

On Dec. 24, 1977, in Essex, he married Sandra Freeman.

Survivors also include two daughters, Tonya Jones and Meredith Fielder of Dexter; and two stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Weldon Jones officiating.

Burial followed in the Essex Cemetery in Essex.
