SIKESTON - Martha Fay Duke Bryant, 92, died at 11:29 a.m. at Missouri Delta Medical Center. Born May 21, 1913, in Lamar, Ark., daughter of the late Jim Hopper and Mabel Hopper Daniel and Jess Daniel, she lived most of her life as a farmer's wife in East Prairie and had lived in Morehouse from 1974 until the time of her death. SIKESTON - Martha Fay Duke Bryant, 92, died at 11:29 a.m. at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born May 21, 1913, in Lamar, Ark., daughter of the late Jim Hopper and Mabel Hopper Daniel and Jess Daniel, she lived most of her life as a farmer's wife in East Prairie and had lived in Morehouse from 1974 until the time of her death. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Morehouse.

On Sept. 14, 1937, in Sikeston, she married Troy Duke who preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1983.

She later married Dade Bryant who also preceded her in death.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by: one son, Harold Lee Duke; an infant son; two brothers, Heartsill Daniel and Mathie Daniel; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three sons-in-law, Thomas Jackson, Cotton Clay and Gene Taylor.

Survivors include: two sons, Earl Duke of Momence, Ill., and Larry Duke of East Prairie; six daughters, Martha Jackson of St . Anne, Ill., Barbara Taylor of Morehouse, Louise Cray of Braggadocio, Marie Day of Morehouse, Brenda Cranford of Malvern, Ark., and Sue Ziegennhorn-Williams of Morehouse; two sisters, Raymona Worley of Hallsville and Nadine Turner of Sikeston; and 23 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday with John Goss, pastor of Assembly of God Church of Morehouse, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.

Pallbearers will be: Tom Jackson, Dale Day, Steve Jackson, Hosea Day, Terry Clay, Tim Stevenson, Lora Duke, Troy Allen Jackson, Steve Taylor and Steven Taylor.
