CLARKTON - Sarah Glenda Redden, 64, died Sept. 30, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born May 14, 1940, in Portageville, daughter of the late George W. and Florence Birdsong Hopkins, she was of the Baptist belief. CLARKTON - Sarah Glenda Redden, 64, died Sept. 30, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 14, 1940, in Portageville, daughter of the late George W. and Florence Birdsong Hopkins, she was of the Baptist belief.

On Jan. 6, 1953, at Caruthersville, she married Melvin Neal "Pete" Redden who preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 2002.

Survivors include: three sons, Terry Redden Sr. and Tracey Lee Redden of Clarkton and Larry Redden of Sikeston; three daughters, Paula Skaggs of Greenville, Jeanette Perkins of Sikeston and Tammy Newton of Benton; two brothers, Billy Hopkins of Wappapello and George Hopkins of Sikeston; one sister, Ora Elam of Campbellsville, Ky.; and 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Five brothers, one sister and one grandson also preceded her in death.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at Landess Funeral Home in Malden with the Rev. Jack Allen officiating.

Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery near Clarkton.
