SIKESTON - E.H. "Sonny" Pullen, 86, formerly of Diehlstadt, died at 9:45 a.m. Oct. 1, 2004, at the Clearview Nursing Center.

Born Sept. 1, 1918, in Pemiscot County, son of the late Alfred Edwin and Arto Oakley Pullen, he lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He was a self-employed truck driver and member of the Southside Baptist Church in Charleston.

On Jan. 25, 1940, he married Wanda Lee Hurley who preceded him in death on Aug. 9,1983.

Survivors include: four sons, Jerry Pullen and Jim Pullen of Sikeston and Ronnie Pullen and Douglas Pullen of Diehlstadt; one daughter, Jo Ann Weaver of Livingston, Texas; one sister, Leona Coleman of Union City, Tenn.; and 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Donnie Pullen; and five brothers and three sisters.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Jim Malugen, pastor of the First Christian Church of Charleston and the Rev. Bill Meeks, pastor of the First General Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Stevie Pullen, Alex Pullen, Darrell Pullen, Marty Pullen, Randy Pullen and Mitchell Pullen.
