Margaret Waters

SIKESTON - Margaret L. Waters, 77, died at 2:37 p.m. June 27, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born April 8, 1926, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Hiram David and Wilhemina Walker Lambert, she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

On April 3, 1948, in Sikeston, she married Charles R. "Buddy" Waters who preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 1992.

Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Anne and John Chittenden of Sikeston; one brother, Bill Lambert of Sikeston; one sister, Freda Grant of Sikeston; six grandchildren, Sarah and husband Stephen Curry of Columbia and David and wife Cheryl Chittenden, Mary Wells Chittenden, Elizabeth Chittenden, Catherine Chittenden and Olivia Chittenden of Sikeston; and one great-grandson, Ben Chittenden of Sikeston.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Charles R. Waters Jr. on Nov. 8, 1989; and seven brothers and four sisters.

No visitation is scheduled.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Schneider, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
