SIKESTON - W.Z. Baker was elected president of the Rotary Club for the coming year at a meeting of the club at the Dunn Hotel last night.

SIKESTON - Robert L. Mitchell of Mitchell Insurance Agency of Sikeston will be a panel member in the March 9 annual officer workers seminar at the Holiday Inn in Sikeston. The event is sponsored by the women's committee of the Chamber of Commerce.

CHARLESTON - The third annual Project Graduation, an all night alcohol and drug free party for graduating seniors, is being planned for Charleston High School seniors. Sixty-six students signed up and paid a $10 registration fee.

SIKESTON - Atlas Cold Storage, one of Sikeston's newest industries, was honored as the Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce "Industry of the Month" during the SACC's February meeting. Accepting the award on the company's behalf was Larry Jones, operations manager for the company, which is located in Sikeston's new Business and Technology Park. The company provides storage for Good Humor-Breyers' ice cram and other products.

SIKESTON - Finding help for a teen suffering from alcohol or drug addiction or a child dealing with depression became a little easier when Spirit of St. Louis Health System opened an outpatient clinic in Sikeston. Located at 209 E. Center St., the clinic is connected with the Spirit of St. Louis Hospital in St. Charles and its satellite office in Cape Girardeau.
