In response to "Out of His Control," are you really a pastor? I wouldn't want my family to sit in your congregation. We attend church for spiritual guidance and fellowship, to teach our children to do unto others, as you would have others do unto you. Yet a "Man of God" attacks someone for stating "God is in control of all things." They did not say God made people gay. Everyone has choices, and we each have to be accountable for those choices. You made the choice to publicly attack a person by calling them moronic, idiotic, ignorant and last but not least, to "shut your face" and get in church! Actions speak louder then words and your actions spoke volumes. I don't believe sinners will be breaking down your door this Sunday morning. You may want to consider stepping out of the pulpit, getting down on your knees and asking God to forgive you for giving Christianity such a bad name. I am embarrassed for you and will keep you in my prayers.

Is there any chance that some of the new grant money for Sikeston could be used to fix the Post Office parking lot?

If everybody would boycott China and quit buying from China, they would bring our factories back over here. Like they said on TV today, they are over there to stay whether we like it or not. If we quit buying, we wouldn't have to worry about it. Everybody buys for Christmas. Christmas is about giving from your heart, celebrating Jesus Christ. You don't have to have toys for kids every year. People need to stick together, quit buying from them, and tell them no more.

Every time Bush hollers we are not supporting the troops and we need billions of dollars going over there for the troops, it's nothing but a flat lie. All that money going, it's your tax dollars to protect the people while they are over there. They hire people to do the cooking, cleaning. All that money is going to support them, not the troops. If you want a good honest president, that's John Edwards. He's a Christian man.

I notice that Cape soccer league gives their teams trophies. But the poor, old Sikeston league, which has $20,000 in the bank, can't give their soccer players anything. I think something should be done.

If Bush claims to be a born-again Christian and that he has read the Bible through twice, would you tell me what the difference is between his Bible and my Bible? My Bible says take from the rich and give to the needy. His Bible says take from the needy and give to the rich. I've never read that in my Bible. And I've never read where it's a sin to be poor. I don't understand why he keeps getting voted in when he's stealing from the American people. We don't need him or another Republican that cares about the rich. We need someone to help the people over here. We don't need someone who believes in gays or divorces. We need somebody that is actually honest. The only way we are going to get that is put a Democrat in.
