GIDEON -- Catherine Cooper, 63, died Sept. 28, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 6, 1944, at Lilbourn, daughter of the late Joe L. and Stella Lawson Williams, she had worked as a cashier at Wal-Mart in Malden for several years. She was a member of the New Prospect Church of rural Malden.
On May 3, 1975, in Malden, she married Howard Lee Cooper, who preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2004.
Two brothers, J.D. Williams and Robert Powell, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Chris McCourt of Bonne Terre; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Cheryl Cooper of Puxico and Stephen Wayne and Allison Williams of Bernie; two sisters, Pansy Brown of DeSoto and Mary Farmer of Park Hills; and seven grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie. The Rev. Paul Stearns will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
