COMMERCE - Glenna Shirley Wright, 56, died at 5:31 a.m. June 23, 2003, at her mother's home in Scott City.

Born Sept. 1, 1946, in Sikeston, daughter of Ruby Akins McLain of Scott City and the late Glenn McLain, she was a customer service representative for Venture. She was a member of the Illmo Baptist Church and Commerce Better Community Club.

On April 14, 1964, in Scott City, she married Jerry Cleo Wright who survives.

Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Tina Wright of Mooresville, N.C.; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Chris Vetter of Benton; four grandchildren, Joshua Wright, JoBeth Wright, Kaitlin Vetter and Kristen Vetter; and a special friend, Scott Morton of Cape Girardeau.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Dennis Bell will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.

Pallbearers will be: Jeremy Mabrey, Steve Brazel, Fred Vetter, Dwayne Vetter, Derek Wright and Cleo Wright.
