CHARLESTON - Robert Allen "Bobby" McKinney, 52, died Oct. 6, 2007, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born June 24, 1955, at Wyatt, to Neoma Gay McKinney of Charleston and the late Emory McKinney, he had lived in Charleston most of his life. At a young age he went to work for Galen Ferrell at Ferrell's Market in downtown Charleston, where he was employed for seven years. In 1977, he went to work as a store manager at McClain's Grocery in Charleston, where he was employed at the time of his death.

A member of the Old Bethel Baptist Church, near Sikeston, he often shared his quiet faith as he wanted people to know about Jesus and accept Him as their Lord and Savior. He also loved bowling and fishing.

On Dec. 21, 1980, he married Margaret Ann McClain, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include: one son and daughter-

in-law, Dr. Timothy Gene and Carrie Lynn Morgan of Independence; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Ann and Ron Ward of East Prairie; three brothers, Larry McKinney of Charleston, Bruce McKinney of Senath and Dennis McKinney of Dallas; one sister, Kathy Heil of East Prairie; and one granddaughter to arrive in just a few months.

One son, Danny Gene Morgan, preceded him in death in 1970.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Steve Vester, pastor of the Old Bethel Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Jim Powell, Chuck Simmons, Billy Vaughn, Homer Bratcher, Mike Medlock, Mark Chronister, Kenneth Smith and Dennis Faire.
