SIKESTON - Folk singing in the hootenanny manner and a variety of classic, semi-classical and popular piano selections will be presented at the second Accent on Youth concert at the Holiday Inn.

SIKESTON - More than 2,000 invitations were mailed to out-of-town patrons last week by the Cairo Historical Association to Holiday House 1967.

But the Golden Cat Railroad Corp. is now the newest railway in Southeast Missouri and the newest addition to Edward Lowe Industries, which makes kitty litter. A division of Lowe's company has plants in Oran and Bloomfield.

CHARLESTON - Head coach Danny Farmer hopes to continue the winning tradition of Charleston basketball when he takes over the reins for the first time this season. Farmer, a Charleston native, will make his Blue Jays head coaching debut in the Riverbend Classic at NMCC on Nov. 28

CHARLESTON - Mid-Valley Irrigation of Blytheville, Ark., and Charleston were honored during Valmont Irrigation's Regional Sale's Meeting. The company announced that Michael Cain and Jerry Whittington of Mid-Valley Irrigation have earned the President's Circle Award.
