SIKESTON - Willie D. Young, 79, died Oct. 17, 2007, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born June 9, 1928, in West, Miss., to the late Isaiah and Emma Green Young, he lived in Missouri for over 30 years, moving from Mississippi to St. Louis. He was a member of the Lone Branch Baptist Church in West.
Survivors include: one son, Adrienne Johnson of Chicago; two daughters and one son-in-law, Dora and James Morgan of Sikeston and Angela Banks of Killeen, Texas; three stepsons, Brian Johnson and Arachel Vauters of St. Louis and Dennis Vauters of St. Paul, Minn.; two sisters, Dorothy McChristian of West and Estella White of St. Louis; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Long Branch Missionary Baptist Church.
Burial will follow in the Long Branch Cemetery in West.
