SIKESTON - Nora Mae McMullin, 84, died Dec. 1, 2003, at her home.
Born May 4, 1919, in Elkhart, Ill., daughter of the late James A. and Angeline Morris Cowgur, she had attended high school in Matthews and graduated in 1937 from Sikeston High School. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston, where she had served as a Sunday school teacher in the nursery, she was also a Gray Lady volunteer at Missouri Delta Medical Center and was involved in the Sikeston Little Theater.
On May 18, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, she married Wilson S. McMullin who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Judi McMullin of Sikeston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patti and Steve McPheeters and Peggy and David Bird of Sikeston; two half brothers, Ron Cowgur of Springfield, Ill., and John Cowgur of Harrisburg, Ill.; five grandsons and one granddaughter-in-law, Steven McPheeters and Joe McPheeters of Sikeston, Sam and Hope McPheeters of St. Louis and Ben McMullin and Josh Bird of Cape Girardeau; one granddaughter, Hillary Bird of St. Louis; one stepgrandson, Mitchell Dacus of Cape Girardeau; and two great-grandsons, Mason McPheeters and Miles McPheeters.
She was preceded in death by one son, Gerry McMullin on Dec. 28, 1961; and four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. William Koch, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Steven McPheeters, Joe McPheeters, Sam McPheeters, Ben McMullin, Josh Bird and Hillary Bird.
