CHARLESTON - Dorothy Jane Finley Goodin, 79, died May 25, 2004, at the Capetown Assisted Living Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 10, 1925, in Charleston, daughter of the late H.C. and Essie Della Stark Finley, she was a lifelong resident of Charleston. A member of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, she was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
On March 9, 1946, she married Arthur Lee Goodin who preceded her in death on Aug. 2, 1991.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Arthur Finley "Artie" and Sarah Goodin of Thebes, Ill., and John D. and Lana Goodin of Charleston; one daughter and son-in-law, Lucianne Lee and Rodney Shoffner of Jackson, Tenn.; and 10 grandchildren, Arthur Lee Goodin II, Beth Goodin Stark, Jacob Goodin, John Robert Goodin, Loralee Shoffner, Katijane Shoffner, Mac Armbruster, Mavis Armbruster, Clare Armbruster and Luke Armbruster.
Two brothers, Harry S. Finley and Freeman Finley, also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Charleston with Keith Huffman, interim pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers will be: Arthur Lee Goodin II, Jacob Goodin, John Robert Goodin, Luke Armbruster, Clay Finley and Hunt Finley.
