MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Robert Troup, 93, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died May 26, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. Born March 8, 1911, in Aberdine, Miss., he worked for the Sikeston Compress for more than 30 years before retiring. He attended West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston for many years, where he had served as an usher. MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Robert Troup, 93, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died May 26, 2004, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.

Born March 8, 1911, in Aberdine, Miss., he worked for the Sikeston Compress for more than 30 years before retiring. He attended West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston for many years, where he had served as an usher. He had attended Carters Chapel Baptist Church and later attended the New Hickory Hill Baptist Church in Memphis.

His wife, Lucille Troup, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Willie D. Troup of Hamilton, Miss., Herman Prince of Dayton, Ohio, and Adolphis Prince of Texas; one daughter, Bethany Bean of Decatur, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Wilma Temple of Memphis; and 11 grandchildren.

Visitation is from 2 p.m. Saturday until service time at 3 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Ronald Williams will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.

Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
