GOSNELL, Ark. - Elmer R.L. Raymond, 71, formerly of Bernie, Mo., died May 26, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Blytheville.
Born June 24, 1932, in Scott County, Mo., son of the late Ernest Rodney and Lillie Beatrice Raymond, he lived in Gosnell for the past year. He was a farm worker and affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
His wife, Mary Catherine Carrigan Raymond, survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three daughters, Elizabeth Catherine Talkington of Norman, Okla., Victoria Lynn Allen of Bernie and Julianna Danielle Yeigh of Gosnell; six sons, Mark Anthony Carter of Spar, Fla., Matthew R.L. Raymond of Sikeston, Mo., Luke Apollo Raymond of Fort Meade, S.D., Daniel Paul Raymond and John Adam Roberson of Bernie and Joshua R.L. Raymond of Gosnell; and 21 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Raymond; and one sister, Imogene Caldwell.
The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sikeston. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with Bishop Michael Comer officiating.
