WASHINGTON, Ill. - Carl Dean Becker, 65, died at 2:47 p.m. Oct. 7, 2004, at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born Jan. 27, 1939, son of Artrue Lloyd Becker of Sikeston, Mo., and the late Ora Elizabeth Jordon Becker, he was a welder in Building LL for the Caterpillar Tractor Company for more than 30 years. WASHINGTON, Ill. - Carl Dean Becker, 65, died at 2:47 p.m. Oct. 7, 2004, at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born Jan. 27, 1939, son of Artrue Lloyd Becker of Sikeston, Mo., and the late Ora Elizabeth Jordon Becker, he was a welder in Building LL for the Caterpillar Tractor Company for more than 30 years. He was a member of UAW Local 974, Peoria Harley Hogs and A.B.A.T.E.

On Jan. 18, 1957, in New Madrid, Mo., he married Ada Mondell Clark who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and father include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven Carl and Melinda Becker of Round Rock, Texas, and Timothy John and Lisa Becker of Washington, Ill.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Vickie Angela Becker of Eureka and Laura Michell and Scott Wilson of Peoria; one brother, Glenn Ralph Becker of Sikeston; two half sisters, Lois Plunk of Sikeston and Loetta Andrews of New Madrid; nine grandchildren, including Brian Wilson of Washington, whom he raised; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a half brother.

Services were conducted Saturday at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington.

Inurnment was conducted Monday at the Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
