Speakout (12/2)

Tuesday, December 2, 2003

I was driving down South West Street late last night and observed someone raking a big pile of leaves across some people's driveway (I guess who lived behind them) because I saw the person run into a house on the corner of the other street. If you are a victim of this crime I will be glad to help you with this matter. Just leave your number in SpeakOut and I will go to the police or whatever because I know you were blocked in and unable to get out of your driveway on Tuesday morning.

I live in Benton and need to have a ramp built very badly.

Call the Area Agency on Aging at 471-8059.

I've been trying for two months to put an article in SpeakOut telling you about the Bush administration and I just haven't been able to get it in, I guess because Mike Jensen is a Republican and refuses to put it in SpeakOut.

Guess again! If you choose to rehash the Florida recount yet again, go ahead. But your argument is getting stale.

Where can Morehouse residents get commodities in December? I need to know.

They will be distributed at the Morehouse Senior Center Community Building.

Last Saturday, Mother, Dad and I went to the Cream Castle to eat. Mother and Dad are elderly and Mother has trouble walking and Dad is almost blind. Mother fell and I couldn't help her up, so I ran inside and two gentlemen and a waitress came out to help us, Fred, Marvin and Becky came out with a chair. We just wanted to say thank you. I know you did what needed to be done, but too many of us look the other way. I thank God there are still good men and women and we just don't hear about the good things they do. Just like those on 9/11, you rank right up there on my list. By the way, they work for BMU.
