BERNIE - Jimmie Fred Jordan, 72, died Sept. 15, 2007, in the emergency room of the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter.

Born Nov. 29, 1934, at Malden, son of the late Vernon and Fredda Winchester Jordan, he was a former manager of the Dexter IXL Plant and a former maintenance supervisor of the St. Louis Auto Auction.

On Nov. 14, 1979, at St. Charles, he married Dorothy Jean Lee, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Virgil Hodge Jr. of the state of New York and the Rev. Bruce Hodge of Poplar Bluff; three daughters, Sheryl Merriman of Poplar Bluff, Linda Quigley of Harviell and Penny Morrison of Kingwood, Texas; and 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Jordan.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Revs. Dalles Merriman and Bruce Hodge will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
