DEXTER - Ruth Corgan, 69, died Oct. 16, 2007, in the Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.

Born March 16, 1938, in Essex, daughter of the late David and Effie Denton Corgan, she was a supervisor for the Division of Employment Security for the State of Missouri and a former organist for the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Dexter.

Survivors include: one son, Randy Lovins of Dexter; two daughters, Sharon McCord of Dexter and Lisa Clark of Valley Park; two brothers, Joe Nelson Corgan of Las Cruces, N.M., and James Emory Corgan of Columbia; one sister, Mary Ferguson of Las Cruces; and seven grand-children and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Lester Clayton will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
