PASS CHRISTIAN, Miss. -- Randall Lee "Randy" Blackman, 54, formerly of East Prairie, Mo., died April 8, 2005, at his home.
Born Nov. 15, 1950, in Cape Girardeau, Mo., son of Blanche Maxwell Blackman of East Prairie and the late James A. "Jim" Blackman, he had lived in Pass Christian for the past several years, where he was a tax preparer for H&R Block. Before moving from East Prairie, he attended the Dogwood United Methodist Church, where he was a pianist. A U.S. Army veteran, he served during the Vietnam era.
In addition to his mother, survivors include: two brothers, Max Blackman of Jackson, Tenn., and Phil Blackman of East Prairie; one niece, Ashley Magee of East Prairie; and one great-niece.
Visitation begins after 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Harold Norton, Charles Carr and Christopher Wise will officiate.
Burial with full military rites provided by the Missouri Honors Program will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery at East Prairie.
