PARMA - Verna B. Cameron, 90, died June 27, 2005, at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter.

Born Nov. 14, 1914, in Newport, Ark., daughter of the late Perry and Nancy Eads Ruby, she had been a resident of Parma most of her life. A member of the Parma General Baptist Church, she had been a grocery clerk for many years in Parma and had been a cook on a river boat.

On Jan. 28, 1933, in New Madrid, she married John Narvel Cameron, who preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1974.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Donald and LaVonda Cameron of Parma; one son-in-law, Harold Fleming of Parma; one sister, Myrtle Parks of Russellville, Ark.; five grandchildren and their spouses, Patty and Jim Timmer, Tina and Chris Durham, Chad and Crystal Cameron, Angie and Allen Dugan and Debbie and Rodney Stogsdill; and 14 great-

grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by: one daughter, Verneta Fleming; one grandson, Hal Fleming; and two sisters, Vertie Lee Williams and Eula Mae Ruby.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday in the General Baptist Church in Parma. The Rev. Don Cooper of Dexter, the Rev. Joe Williams and the Rev. James Black, both of Malden, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery in Lilbourn.
