SIKESTON -- Margaret Agatha Largent, 95, died Feb. 25, 2006, at Clearview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sikeston.
Born Oct. 21, 1910, in Gideon, daughter of the late Martin VanBuren and Elizabeth M. Atteberry Mumma, for over 50 years she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston where she was active in the United Methodist Women's Circle II, Women's Civic Club, volunteered at Scott County blood drives and enjoyed her bridge clubs.
On April 29, 1932, she married Louie Rice Largent who preceded her in death August 4, 1974.
She is survived by: one son and daughter-in-law, James D. and Carol Largent of Sikeston; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Jimmy "Chunk" Johnson of Sikeston; one brother, Bill Mumma of Rolla; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Cindy and Joe Lankheit of Sikeston, Doug and Cheryl Johnson of New Hamburg, Susan and Frank Babcock of Lake Villa, Ill., Kevin Largent of Chicago, Theresa Largent and Ellis Largent, both of San Diego, Celeste Largent of St. Louis and Charles "Chuck" and Bethany Largent of Sikeston; and five great-grandchildren, Connor and Cord Babcock of Lake Villa, Allison Johnson of New Hamburg and Jacob Largent and Jack Largent, both of Sikeston.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Harold Norton will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Kevin Largent, Ellis Largent, Charles Largent, Doug Johnson, Frank Babcock and Tim Ganboa.
