LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Dorotha Grace Jobe, 97, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died at 11:40 p.m. Feb. 25, 2006, at the Parkway Health Center in Little Rock.

Born Dec. 13, 1908, in Essex, Mo., to the late Tommy and Minnie Hurt Grace, she was a resident of Parma, Mo., for over 30 years and attended Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She lived in Blytheville for 18 years and moved in 1956 to Sikeston where she lived for 47 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston, served on the administrative board, was president of United Methodist Women and taught Sunday school for 30 years. She served as chaplain of Chapter HB of P.E.O. and was an active leader in both Boy and Girl Scouts. She lived in Little Rock for the last two years.

On July 20, 1934, in Essex, she married Paul Jobe, who preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1992.

One son, Tom Jobe; two brothers, Doyle Grace and Cletis Grace; and three sisters, Trulia Rider, Christine Curry and Neoma Hopkins also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Bill Poirier of Chatham, Mass., Kay and Emon Mahony of El Dorado and Susan and Wayne Patton of Santa Fe, N.M.; two sisters, Norma Thee of Blue Springs, Mo., and Bonnie Humphrey of Tampa, Fla.; two granddaughters Terri Julian of Little Rock and Liza Nevenhoven of Springfield, Mo.; nine grandsons, Trent Donathan of St. Paul, Paul Donathan of Houston, Emon O. Mahony of New Orleans, Gordon Smith of Chevy Chase, Md., Perry Smith of Chicago, Matthew Smith of Reheboth Beach, Del., Richard Smith of Akron, Ohio, Todd Phillips and Jett Phillips, both of Dallas; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dempster Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Geoff Posegate will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Nunnelee Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
