Charles Menees
MOREHOUSE -- Charles B. Menees, 75, died at 10 p.m. Aug. 18, 2005, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born Sept. 14, 1929, in Morehouse, son of the late Charles Clifford and Velma Irene Landers Menees, he had worked as a salesman for Moore's Missouri Company, Riverside Building Company and C&K Building Materials Company before retiring. He was a member of the Sikeston Elks Lodge 2319 and had served on the school board at Morehouse. He was also a member of the Rauch-Spence Memorial United Methodist Church in Morehouse.
On Oct. 22, 1948, in Morehouse, he married Mary Jo Turner, who survives of the home in Morehouse.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Woodrow Glass of Sikeston and Cynthia and Michael Collier of Plano, Texas; two grandchildren, Rebecca Kempfer and Tyler Glass of Sikeston; and two great-grandchildren, Mary Ann and Hailey Kempfer of Sikeston.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. Monday until time for services at 1 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Marty Blakey, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Chaffee, officiating.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
