Gladys Lincoln

CHAFFEE - Gladys Lincoln, 85, died June 25, 2006, at Chaffee Nursing Center.

Born May 3, 1921, in Dutchtown, daughter of the late Oscar W. and Amanda Sophie Amelunke Sprenger, she was a retired housekeeper for Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel and United Methodist Church in Chaffee along with several other businesses and personal homes for over 30 years, a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Chaffee V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary 3127 and St. Pauls Lutheran Ladies Aid of Chaffee.

On Oct. 22, 1949, she married Junior Lincoln, who preceded her in death on Nov. 27, 1968.

One sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry and Evelyn Sprenger and Lynn Lincoln, all of Chaffee; and two grandchildren, Darren Lincoln of Tucson, Ariz. and Samantha Lincoln of Chaffee.

Visitation is at 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Chaffee. The Rev. Wayne Schwiesow will officiate.

Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.
