DUDLEY - Kathryn E. Chapin, formerly of Kansas City, died Sept. 23, 2006, at her home.
Born in Fairfield, Ill., to the late Cleve and Ida Whittington Orr, she was a member of the Holmeswood Baptist Church in Kansas City.
On Dec. 23, 1943, she married Lawrence E. Chapin, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Thomas R. Meadows and Miles G. Meadows of Dudley; one daughter, Sharon M. Hill of Leawood, Kan.; one brother, Charles V. Orr of Dudley; one sister, Peggy Dawes of Lees Summitt; and 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and several great-great-
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John Orr, Raymond Orr and Carroll Orr; and two sisters, Margaret Cooper and Ina Richeson.
Private memorial services were held today at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. The Rev. Donald Morgan of Dudley officiated.
Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter was in charge of arrangements.
