Elton Lloyd Stoner, 23, pled guilty to one felony count of being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He appeared before United States District Judge Charles A. Shaw.

On May 27, 2007, two Mississippi County deputies went to Stoner's residence in Charleston. During their investigation, the deputies seized a Buddie Arms, .22 caliber derringer from Stoner's bedroom. Due to Stoner's previous felony convictions, he is prohibited by law from possessing firearms.

Stoner now faces a maximum punishment of life imprisonment and a $250,000.
