DUDLEY -- Alberta Mae Hayes, 83, died May 2, 2005, at Cypress Point Healthcare in Dexter.

Born Aug. 17, 1921, in Broseley, daughter of the late Charles Clinton and Lavena Ray Nation Thomas, she had lived in Dudley most of her life and was a member of the Dudley Community Church.

On Nov. 12, 1938, at Dudley she married Raymond "Jockey" Hayes who preceded her in death on Sept. 12, 1996.

One daughter, Judith Ann Williamson, preceded her in death on Jan. 16, 2002. Survivors include: two sons, Gary Dale Hayes and Donald Ray Hayes of Dudley; one daughter, Faye Bolster of Dudley; two sisters, Mary Hanell of Flint, Mich., and Ruby Morgan of Granite City, Ill.; and 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ronald Morgan of Dudley will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery near Dexter.
