THAYER - Thomas Powell "Pete" Clark, 96, formerly of Portageville, died Dec. 22, 2005, at Shady Oaks Nursing Center in Thayer.

Born Aug. 31, 1909, in Dyer County, Tenn., to the late Joe and Lula Sanders Clark, he was a retired cotton farmer and of the Christian faith.

On Jan. 12, 1929, he married Roberta "Ruby" Faith Jones, who survives of Thayer.

Other survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, John C. Clark of Memphis, Tenn., Larry and Joy Clark of West Plains and Ron and Gletta Clark of Thayer; four daughters and two sons in-in-law, Emma Lou Crowe of Kennett, Mary Sue Henderson of Waynsville, N.C., Joanne and Paul Strop of Waynesville, Mo., and Donna and Greg Zink of Carthage; one sister, Eunice Pemberton of the state of Michigan; and 16 grandchildren, 26, great-

grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Billy Clark; four sisters, Azzie Clark, Letha Vardell, Lillian Wilkinson and Eunice Pemberton; and four brothers, Corbett (0.C.), Chapter, Newman and Fayman Clark.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at the DeLisle Funeral Home with the Rev. Vic Elliott officiating.

Burial followed at the Portageville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Anthony Clark, Stephen Clark, Joe Clark, Cal Clark, Greg Zink and Mile Appelt.
