SIKESTON - Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Bush will move to East Prairie the first of this week, where he and Mrs. Bush will operate the City O.K. Supply Store, which they recently purchased.
SIKESTON - Gov. Warren E. Hearnes will speak at a dinner meeting Friday at 7 p.m. in the American Legion Hall honoring him, Mrs. Hearnes and Lt. Gov. Thomas F. Eagleton for their support and leadership in the 1966 March of Dimes. The proceeds will go to the March of Dimes fight against birth defects.

CHARLESTON - The main topic of discussion at Tuesday evening's work session for the City Council centered on the sale of tax proposals, jail agreement and the use of property as a salvage operation. Charleston residents will be voting April 1 on a half-cent sales tax proposal designated for street improvement.
SIKESTON - Organizers of the Kenny Rogers Cerebral Palsy Center's Telethon Auction are picking up donated items for the event. Persons interested in donating items should contact the CP Center.

SIKESTON - Scott County Sheriff Bill Ferrell and Officer Brenda Schiwitz are teaching children at Sikeston Kindergarten about safety. Schiwitz took the fingerprints of each child, which will be kept on file at the school or at home.
