CHAFFEE - Jewell Marie Elsperman, 78, died at 7:28 a.m. March 8, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born July 25, 1927, in Morley, to the late Thomas Johnathan and Myrtle Mae Cruse Jackson, she had worked as a machine operator at Convair Aeronautical in San Diego and retired as a cook from the United States Army in Yuma, Ariz.
On Aug. 15, 1942, she married Norman Elsperman, who survives of the home.
Survivors include: three sons, Norman Elsperman Jr. of Chaffee, David Elsperman of Spring Valley, Calif., and Mike Elsperman of Houston; two brothers, Forrest Jackson of Bloomfield and Joe Jackson of Sikeston; five sisters, Dorothy Bryeans of Morley, Frances Sanders of Cape Girardeau, Wanda Schwartz of Scott City, Betty Lentz and Jan Bivens, both of Sikeston; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, one brother also preceded her in death.
Visitation is at 4 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Watis Harrell will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
