SIKESTON - Shirley L. Tidwell, 74, died Nov. 2, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Jan. 1, 1931, in Fayette, Ala., son of the late Lewis and Mamie Fowler Tidwell, he was a retired farmer and factory worker and a member of the American Legion and Eagles in Sikeston.

On Sept. 8, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., he married Evis Christine Ergle who preceded him in death on Aug. 2, 1986.

On Apr. 30, 1994, he married Pauline Hastings who preceded him in death on Aug. 4, 1999.

One brother, one sister, one daughter, two sons-in-law and one granddaughter also preceded him in death.

Survivors include: one son, Troy Tidwell of West Memphis, Ark.; seven daughters, Shirley Cureton of Vanduser, Rebecca Nance of Sikeston, Virginia Southern and Jessica Cates of Haleyville, Ala., Kathy Haley of West Memphis and Hope Chadd of Sikeston; three brothers, Fred Tidwell of Bertrand, Luther Tidwell of East Prairie and Princeton Tidwell of Cottage Hill, Ill.; two sisters, Edith Mills and Lou Brookshire of St. Louis; and 32 grandchildren; 37 great-

grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Bob Burnes officiating.

Burial will follow in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance.
