PORTAGEVILLE - Mary Elizabeth Eftink Klipfel, 92, died March 10, 2008, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Oct. 24, 1915, at Portageville, to the late John Eftink and Elizabeth Elfrink Eftink, she was a member of the St. Eustachius Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality.
On Jan. 30, 1940, at Portageville, she married Noah Joseph Klipfel, who preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1950.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Joe Klipfel, who was killed Dec. 6, 1968, in Vietnam; two brothers, Henry Eftink and Paul Eftink; and one sister, Jane Priggel.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, John and Ellie Klipfel of Portageville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Martha and Charles Grojean of Chaffee, Betty and Henry Alexander of Charleston, Tenn. and Patsy and Charley Glover of Atoka, Tenn.; one sister, Emma Gaines of Oran; two brothers, George Eftink of Chaffee and Andrew Eftink of Portageville; and nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 5 p.m. with rosary prayers at 7 p.m. Wednesday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Eustachius Catholic Church. The Revs. Ed Eftink and Allan Saunders will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
