ESSEX - Wayne Maurice Stevens, 67, died March 18, 2006, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.
Born Jan. 27, 1939, near Dexter, son of the late Linous and Beulah Campbell Stevens, he was a farmer and a veteran of the United States Navy.
In 1958, he was united in marriage to Nancy Jane Walters.
Survivors include: two sons, Nicholas Lee Stevens and Nathan Wayne Stevens, both of Dexter; one daughter, Karen Lynn Cook of Dexter; one brother, Tom Stevens of Dexter; and 10 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Troy Stevens and Don Stevens.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Burial will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery.
