SIKESTON -- Neoma Johnson, 82, died March 18, 2006, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born March 15, 1924, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late John Elsie and Ida Elizabeth Evans Sledge, she was a member of Miner Baptist Church.
On Dec. 5, 1944, in Mississippi, she married Billy F. Johnson, who preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 1997.
One son, David Keith Johnson, was killed in the Vietnam War.
Survivors include: one sister, Jauneva Ray of Gilford, N.H.; and several nieces and great-nieces.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. Tuesday until time for services at 11 a.m. at Ponder Funeral Home. The Rev. Jason Grubbs, associate pastor of Miner Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Darryl Griggs, Bill Bloemer, Junior McConnell, A.C. James, Ted Martin and Charles Hill.
