ST. LOUIS - Naomi Belle Renfro, 82, formerly of Dexter and Bernie, died Oct. 29, 2007, at her daughter's home in St. Louis. Born May 18, 1925, at Roseville, Calif., to the late John C. and Lila Owens LaRue, she attended Dexter High School. In 1954, she moved to St. Louis and in 1970 she moved to Bernie, where she and her husband owned Belle's Freeze Queen for 18 years...

ST. LOUIS - Naomi Belle Renfro, 82, formerly of Dexter and Bernie, died Oct. 29, 2007, at her daughter's home in St. Louis.

Born May 18, 1925, at Roseville, Calif., to the late John C. and Lila Owens LaRue, she attended Dexter High School. In 1954, she moved to St. Louis and in 1970 she moved to Bernie, where she and her husband owned Belle's Freeze Queen for 18 years.

On Feb. 24, 1944, at Piggott, Ark., she married James Leo Renfro, who preceded her in death on June 13, 2002.

One son, Gary Renfro; and three sisters, Geraldine LaRue, Ruth Ferrell and Glenda Crouch also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons, Roger Renfro and Randy Renfro of Dexter; three daughters, Charlotte Combs of Independence, Janis Pott of St. Louis and Darla King of Blue Springs; one sister, Lorene Mayberry of Essex; and 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday with Doug Sikes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
