SIKESTON - Mrs. Roland Malcolm and her mother, Mrs. Fred Sacks of Marshall, Ill., have moved to Sikeston and are now located on Matthews Street.

SIKESTON - Mrs. Tony Heckemeyer was named committee chairman for Sikeston for the 1986 fund drive of United Cerebral Palsy.


SIKESTON - Approximately 800 attended the Southern Missouri District Council of the Assemblies of God youth rally last night at the First Assembly of God Church. Highlights were the finals between Bible quiz teams and the talent contest.

SIKESTON - Former Scott County Central basketball player Tim Ware signed a letter of intent to play for Three Rivers Community College next season. SCC Coach Ron Cookson and Raiders Coach Glen Bess were there to witness the event.


SIKESTON - Concert Chairman Steve Forbes said ticket sales for the Reba McEntire are going well at this point.

SIKESTON - A Sikeston attorney, Jim McClellan, has been elected as first alternate for the GOP convention, making known his support of presidential candidate Pat Buchanan. "I am a staunch supporter of Buchanan. I agree that we need a grassroots appeal with citizens of our country to restore our nation to a constitutional republic," said McClellan.


SIKESTON - Roger Sherman has filled every position from principal to teacher to coach to his current position, which he has had since 1972, director of secondary education for the Sikeston School District. Sherman will be leaving the school district as of June 14.
