Sikeston man dies in accident

SIKESTON -- A Sikeston man was killed after the vehicle he was driving crashed and burned Wednesday in Scott County.

William "Randy" Riley, 23, of Sikeston was pronounced dead at the scene by Scott County Deputy Coroner Jerry Goin. The accident occurred at 10 p.m. on Scott County Road 524, four miles northeast of Sikeston, when Riley lost control of his vehicle, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports. The vehicle was totally burned. Riley was taken to Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.
