NEW MADRID - Elmer Roy "Junior" Willis, 81, died Oct. 9, 2007, at his home. Born Sept. 18, 1926, in Cogar, Okla., to the late Elmer and Rosie Black Willis, he was a member of the New Madrid Baptist Church for 21 years. He worked at the New Madrid Oil Terminal for 48 years, which was owned by Simpson Oil, Atlantic Richfield and Sinclair Refinery...

NEW MADRID - Elmer Roy "Junior" Willis, 81, died Oct. 9, 2007, at his home.

Born Sept. 18, 1926, in Cogar, Okla., to the late Elmer and Rosie Black Willis, he was a member of the New Madrid Baptist Church for 21 years. He worked at the New Madrid Oil Terminal for 48 years, which was owned by Simpson Oil, Atlantic Richfield and Sinclair Refinery.

On Oct. 26, 1946, he married Clara Kelley, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Linda Willis of New Madrid; two daughters and a son-in-law, Dorothy Chamberlain of New Madrid and Rosa and John Langley of New Madrid; one brother, Richard Willis of the state of California; eight grandchildren, Tonya Langley Darnell of Herculaneum, Sean, Tony and Chuck Langley and Christina Willis Tanner of New Madrid, Tammie Beaird of Cape Girardeau, Debbie Willis Smith of Tyler, Texas, and Steven Chamberlain of Willisville, Ill.; 11 great-grandchildren, Brittney Keith, Christopher Beaird, Jonathan, Dalton and Maggie Langley, Noah, Isabella and Madison Phelps of New Madrid; Cole Darnell of Herculaneum and Maxwell Chamberlain and Michael Dunlap of Willisville; and three great-great-

grandchildren, Justin and Lindsey Keith of New Madrid and Jake Smith of Tyler.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the New Madrid Baptist Church. with the Rev. Tripp Spangler officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ted Wimberley.

Burial will follow in the Mounds Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be deacons of New Madrid Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Foster and John Peel.
