HOWARDVILLE - Tom Jennings Sr., 100, died Oct. 9, 2007, at his home.
Born Jan. 23, 1907, in Duckhill, Miss., he was the son of the late Spencer and Cannie Winters Jennings.
He was married in Caruthersville to Ozia Rowe who preceded him in death on Nov. 13, 1985.
Also preceding him in death were: two sons, Lester Jennings and Tom Jennings Jr.; four daughters, Velma Bailey, Minnie Carter, Lillie Jennings and Betty Sue Mason; and three children in infancy.
Survivors include: five daughters and three sons-in-law, Ozia and Flemm Bronner, Ann and James Smith and Beatrice Edward and Marguerite and Stan Stanton, all of St. Louis, and Viola Jackson of Howardville; and 21 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Visitation is at 1 p.m. Sunday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. Services will follow at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Baptist Church in Howardville. The Rev. Flim Bruner Sr. will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Mason Cemetery.
