Marcia Sikes
SIKESTON - Marcia Weber Sikes, died March 1, 2006, at her home.
She was born in Bloomfield, Mo., on Feb. 4, 1914, the daughter of Carl Weber and Elizabeth O'Ferrall Weber. She was one of the founding members of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, where she taught Sunday school, and was the organist for many years. She graduated from Bloomfield High School and from what is now Missouri State University. She was a member and past president of Chapter HB of PEO. She also served as a volunteer for the Child Development Center during the eight years of its existence.
On June 9, 1937, she married William Kendall Sikes, who preceded her in death June 19, 1994.
She is survived by: two sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred and Martha Sikes of Church Creek, Md., and Stephen and Catherine Sikes of Sikeston; and five granddaughters, Deborah Sikes of Alexandria, Va., Christine Sikes McNary of St. Louis, Marcia Sikes Cole of Falls Church, Md., Catherine Sikes Schrumpf of Cape Girardeau and Elizabeth Sikes Miller of Alexandria; and eight great-
grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. today at St. Paul's Episcopal Church parish hall with a memorial service is set for 3 p.m. today with the Rev. Arnold Hoffman, officiating.
A private family committal service will be conducted later in Sikeston City Cemetery.
